           GOLDSTONE  BUDDY REFLECTION

I think the games and activities my group did for the kindergarteners were always good. We had some trouble we had was by trying to think up new games for the kids. But it was difficult because we were very limited to what the kindergarteners abilities could allow us to do, they could only play a few simplistic games. It was hard for me because kindergarteners do not show their feelings so it was very hard for me to know if they are having fun or not. My favorite part of being a leader is when the kids smile at you when you both are doing the same thing because they look up to us. As a buddy I learned that not everything is about control, rules and structure. Sometimes you just have to let your buddy run around and scream like an idiot in order to have fun because rules come later. The biggest challenge was trying not to be scared of having to lead literally 68 five year olds your self. I should really work on speaking up in front of the kids, if I were to do one more month I would try to interact more with the kids especially one on one. Being a buddy made me learn that not everything is about control and rules, sometimes you just have to let your buddy run around screaming like an idiot in order for them to have fun. I was very anxious in the beginning but started to gain confidence as I got to know my buddy. My favorite part was when my buddy asked if I had muscles and I said I did so I flexed my arm for him to feel and he felt it and said angrily " that is not muscle, that's bone." I was laughing so hard on the inside but did not say any thing.
